On camp last week my favorite thing was jamping off the pontoon. At first I was scared because I didn't know that I would be able to float. I forgot I had a life jacket on. Then it was really fun and wanted to do it again and again.

The Monarch Butterfly

A butterflies lays it egg under a leaf. The egg hatches between three and twelve days later.
When an egg hatches the caterpillar will start to eat its own egg. They will eat it because
it has got all of the goodness in side of it.

Once the baby caterpillar has finished eating the goodness of the egg, it will eat milk weed
leaves for it food. As the caterpillar keeps on eating, it will get fat.

Now the caterpillar is full, ready and fat it will make a chrysalis on a swan plant. The caterpillar has to hang it self up side down. Slowly after that, the chrysalis will start to form.

When the caterpillar is nearly transformed, the chrysalis turns black. After two weeks a bright and beautiful butterfly emerges into the world.

When a mother butterfly lays her eggs she finds a milk weed leaf and lays her egg under the leaf.

Then a few days latter the baby caterpillar chew its way out and returns its way back and eats its egg,it has good energy for that baby Caterpillar.

The baby caterpillar eats and eats ,the food that the caterpillar eats is milk weed the caterpillar gets fat he forms into a chrysalis. As the fat caterpillar is in there, he gets lots of nice colours.

An awesome experience happened when a Butterfly comes out and sees the world for the first time

Meeting my NRL Idols at the Four Nations Fans Day

Did you know that yesterday at Eden park we got to meet our favourite NRL players? I was so excited and was looking forward to meeting Todd Carney and lots of other NRL players. I was also dying to see Sam Burgess, Brent Morris, Darren Lockyer and Cameron Smith. As we were playing the games I wanted the Kiwis and the Aussie players to tell us what to do on the field. I was geting thirsty during the games.

After our games, Starford and I were looking out for Benji Marshall, Sam Burgess, Lote Tuquiri, Shaun Kenny-Dowall and Cameron Smith to get their autographs and we found them. I was so excited that it felt like I had just opened up a Christmas present.

It was heaps of fun at Eden park and I know that I was one of the luckiest kids in the world to be there. Thanks Miss Va'afusuaga for choosing me to go and meet my favourite league players.

The Four Nations Fans Day

To my absolute amazement I saw my favourite NRL players in the world and their names are Darren Lockyer and Sam Burgess. Sam Burgess is tall! I was also looking forward to getting Benji Marshall's autograph.

We went there to go and have some fun and learn new games to play. When we played four-hand touch, Kurt Gidley was on my team but he was signing autographs while I had to defend this boy who got through me to score a try because Kurt was too busy giving out his autograph. I wish he wasn't so he could help save the try.

I was earnestly looking hard for Darren Lockyer but he was no where to be found and I heard that he was up in the stadium signing autographs.

I will remember this day for a long time.

The Four Nations Rugby League Fans Day

Jumping up and down I was so excited to go to the Four Nations Fans Day at the famous Eden Park to meet our favourite league players. My favourite player is the man, Benji Marshall. He is the best and he's my hero in league!

When we got there we saw lots of different schools and all of the rugby league players in the Kiwis, Australian, English and Papua New Guinea teams. As we took our seats, I was looking out for Benji to get his autograph, but I couldn't find him. I was gutted not to see him.

Our first drill of the day was bull rush with the ball. It was fun because we got to play with some of the Papua New Guinea players.

Our next drill was four hand touch backyard league. It was so funny because the league players were tackling us on the ground for a laugh and they were acting like bullies but they were only kidding. After that we went to get some more autographs from other players. I was quite sad that I didn't get my favourite league player's autograph.

So before we went back to school we did the haka in front of everyone so could get tickets to the Kiwis and Aussie games. After our haka we were told that we had the best haka and won some free tickets. Woo hoo!

Soon afterwards, we went to the top of the stadium to get some free lunch and water. After eating our lunch we started to pack up to go back to school.

At Eden Park, we had so much fun and I would love to do again next time. I hope there'll be a next time!

'WA Who' on Wednesday 22nd of September we had our game against Viscount . We had our game at Eden Park. Our game started at ten o'clock. When we got their we saw Viscount and Holy Cross playing. We had to wait for along time before we played. When we went on we had to run from under the goal pose. As we started our game we were geting hit from Viscount and then they were pushing as back but then we push back and then we got a try . At half -time we were wining by only one try and a kick. When we started half-time we were a tie and we put in the pressure . We gave every thing we got and at the end we won. 24-26.

I've worked so hard on our fiafia, on the computer doing so many animations. I even finished off other people's work that they hadn't done. I have been doing so many movies, that when I finished my animation and other ones too, I got to play some games.
Our music for our animation is Never Say Never by Jb and Jsmith. Lepa was the one that chose it because we had so many ideas for the song and people liked it.
We have Stevie and Jephte as our main characters, and they seem like quite good actors. At the end when they have a little celebration.
I really really enjoyed MTV because Miss King is good at thinking of so many ideas for our movie and she doesn't waste her time hanging around, because she is on to it.
I liked meeting other people that I don't know and it was awesome to be with my old teacher again.

When we got on to the felid we got the first try then they got the next try and another try. Then it came for our next half Tui got the next try and then Lepa got the next that made us win by one. I played for the Year 7 team and it wasn't very cool because I was the only Year 6 student but I had fun anyway. With a devastating effect Christchurch was hit by an earth quake on Saturday morning. On the news they were talking about what had happened in Christchurch. It's been devastating for the people and even moreso because they've had more than one hundred aftershocks. Floods started to happen because the water pipes broke underneath the ground. The Auckland Police department sent about 80 police officers to help the emergency services in Christchurch. People are desparate to go back to their normal lives. If they want to drink water, they have to boil it so they won't get sick. I feel sorry for the people in Christchurch.

Warriors vs Broncos Game

On Friday night I went with Miss Va'afusuaga and her nephews and Shadin to go and watch the Warriors play against the Broncos at Mt Smart stadium. I was so happy to go and see Kevin Locke, Manu Vatuvei and Israel Folau because they're my favourite players. All I could smell when we got there, was hot dogs and chips. As soon as the game started everyone started cheering when the Warriors came out of the tunnel and it was so loud. I could here lots of screaming and cheering when I was watching the game. It was my first time watching the warriors in a real stadium. It was cool seeing Manu Vatuvei jump for the ball and get the try on the try line and that's when everyone was cheering again. It was also a fantastic night because the Under 20s Warriors team won their match too and the real Warriors won their match, 36-4. It was kind of cold but I saw this man dancing all by himself and it was really funny.

the first European sail Australian and new Zealand water and Pacific ocean. He solved part of the globed.

Cook achievements included sailing the surrounding Antarctica water. He also created and

In Assembly ,there were lots of teachers that were dresed up as Migthy Mariners.Some of them looked funny and nearlly all of them were cool like Mr & Mrs Barks,Mrs Telea,Mrs Squiers,Miss Burne,and Mrs King.The funnest teachers were Miss She,Miss Tito,and Mr Burt.Mr Burt told us about his trip to USA.He had quite alot of T-shirts on and all of the T-shirt that he had on were from the places were he went.

Term twos disaster day

This term, we have been leaning about disasters which are Tsunamis,Volcanoes and Earthquakes.

We have been going to other places like One Tree Hill and Ruapotaka school. We went to One Tree Hill because we had to learn more about volcanoes,and when we got there we saw three craters and also one of them had molten rock in it and that was the third one. When it was disaster day it was time to go to Ruapotaka school to practice when a REAL Tsunami is going to happen.When we got there we had to sit in a small hall and had to watch one of the movies that showed us that a volcano had just erupted under the sea.Then we saw billowing ash cloud rushing towards us and it gave us a shock,it made us jump.Then they told us that the tsunami had finished.

The thing we enjoyed the most was going to One Tree Hill because we got to do fun things like capture the flag and watch a movie that was all about One Tree Hill and Sir John Logan Campbell.

Active Earth Assembly

On the 7th of May the whole school went to an assembly. We saw the Team 1 teachers go up on stage first to show their Active Earth costumes. When they were finished, the Team 2 teachers went up on stage. We then watched a movie about the earth-quakes and it was pretty short. When the movie had finished, Team 4 went up on the stage and they played a quiz master and in the quiz game was Miss Va'afusuaga, Mr Barks, Miss King and Miss Squires. When they were finished, the Team 5 teachers went up and Miss Tito and Mrs Nua were talking about volcanoes. After assembly we went back to class.

When Mt. Vesuvius erupted, rising smoky ash and falling rocks poured from the crater onto the city of Pompeii. BOOM! Suddenly the petrified people were faced with fear of an uncertain future.

Soon after the massive explosion, more then 20.000 people perished and were buried. A few survivors escaped from the terrifying event. The city of Pompeii has never been the same but many people today still visit the historical site.

Rugby Barbarians Day

Around 7:15am, we went to an engaging event called the Rugby Barbarians Fun Day on the North Shore. When we got there I was fortunate enough to play all our three games and looked foward to meeting some All Blacks there. I was nervous about playing those three games. When we arrived to the amazing fun barbarian day, everybody was there. We had our first game against Riverhead School and we won by many tries to a nil score and they never got near the try line but they tried their best and that's all that matters. In our second game against Arahoe, I thought to myself, "we're going to lose", but I remembered that champions never give up. "Oh he stepped to the right, then stepped to the left, oh a bump off too" - all made by Lepa. He was "gonners" and scored a try. We all shouted and we all cheered with happiness. After that we all got some sausges to eat. We were all happy that we won both of our games but we noticed that it wasn't finished yet. We ate some food but not heaps because we might get a stitch when we play our last game against Ardmore Primary. It wasn't a hard game and we won that game by lots of tries to nil agains. They were small players and I got the first try of that game. I'm glad that my step-dad let me go because it was a wonderful day.

On Friday morning the rugby boys and girls left school at 11:30. We got to Viscount School at 12:00. After 12, we warmed up - the girls and the unders started playing first, and my team played next. I played the first half and in the second half I sprained my ankle, then I went home with my mum. I had a good day.

The Last Day of Pompeii

On the last day of Pompeii, the people faced a fear of an uncertain future. The ash from the erupting Mt. Vesuvius was so thick, that it blocked out the sun. The ash had poisonous gases and killed more than 20,000 petrified people. Mt.Vesuvius is still active today so if you go to Italy and near that volcano, I suggest that you be careful.

In the year of 79 AD, on the 24th of August, Mt. Vesuvius erupted near the city of Pompeii in Italy. It erupted and unleashed lava and hot ash that covered the whole city of Pompeii. The rising, smoky ash clouds blocked out the sun, so the city was dark. As the angry and sinister ash clouds and hot lava came pouring out from the crater, it came upon the people of Pompeii and they were killed.

As Mt. Vesuvius started to erupt, some of the people from Pompeii didn't even know that it was a volcano. When Mt. Vesuvius erupted, the poisonous gas spread around the city of Pompeii. The ash that was coming out of the volcano made a huge cloud that blocked out the sun. When the whole sky of Pompeii was covered in this ash cloud, flaming hot chunks of rock came flying towards the city of Pompeii. The smell in the air was like rotton eggs. Lava also poured out onto people too. That was the last time the city of Pompeii ever exsisted. Mt.Vesuvius is still active today and can erupt again.

thought it was just a mountain, but it was an active volcano. Snakes and other animals went crazy before the eruption but the people did not notice the warning signs. My First Rugby Game for the School

On Friday the 7th of May the Year 5 and 6 girls and boys had their first rugby game againstViscount School. Before we left our school, we had to wait for a while and had our morning tea. Then we got changed in to our rugby gears that we were going to play in. When we finished changing, we had to go to the hall and wait for the bus to arrive. When the bus arrived the girls lined up first and got to sit at the back of the bus which were the best seats. On our way to Mangere we sang songs. When we finally got there, we had a little warm up. After our warm up, it was time to play. When it was time to play, we thought that they were going to be bigger than us but there were only a few big girls and the rest were skinny. In our team we all tried our hardest but we lost. Viscount were passing the ball and we didn't spread out to try to tackle them but I think the player of the day should be Lesley Mapa because it took a lot of girls to tackle her when she ran hard with the ball. The overs tried their hardest too but they lost as well. Only the unders team won their game. Finally it was time to go back to school. It was a rough day and I can't wait until we play them again.

In Pompeii people lived next to a volcano and one morning in 79AD, the volcano erupted. It was called Mt. Vesuvius. The volcano exploded where lava and rising smoky ash came out of it's crater. Falling rocks looked like it fell from the sky but it came out of the crater. More than 20,000 people died from the hot, scorching, poisonous gases. As the ash covered the city of Pompeii, they were buried 6 metres underground. Hundreds of years later, people discovered the town of Pompeii when they started digging underground. People were found and made out of rocks.

Pt. England vs Viscount Rugby

On Friday the 8th of May, our Year Five and Six girls and boys went to Viscount School in Mangere to challenge them at rugby. When we arrived there our teams started to warm up and we also ran around the field. The first game was the under 50kgs team. They played well and they won because of their experience. The next game was the Over 50kgs team against Viscount. We lost badly. They were fitter and faster than our team. I tried to do a drop goal but I missed. Next time I will try harder to get a try and our team needs to be fitter.

I Like My Weekends

In the weekend I went to town and bought stuff for Mothers Day. I bought my mum a card and I got her some chocolates too. On Saturday I had KFC "mmmmm yum KFC for dinner", I said to myself. It was my sister's birthday and she was turning nineteen and she gave me 5 dollars for something to buy for myself. I bought a drink, an ice cream and hot chips then I walked to the playground and sat down and had a rest on the slide. After that I walked around the school and finally went home. When I got there I had a drink then I went to play games on my PS3 called the God of War. I really like my weekends.

My First Rugby Game of the Year

On Friday we went to Viscount School in Mangere to challenge them in rugby . But first of all, before we left, we went to the hall to sort out our team. Soon after that we had to go outside because the bus was waiting for us. As the bus was going we sang lots of different songs and before long, we arrived there. When I got out I was nervous but I trusted in myself that I could play well. Our coach led us to our sitting place, then we did a little warm up before the game started. When the referee blew his whistle - we were ready. We ran onto the field and knew that if we lost or won, we would do our best. We got the first two tries before half time and in the end, we won. We were so happy and our coach said 'Yeah'! Then we had our lunch . The score was Viscount 5, Pt. England 35.
